The Collagenium Research Team
The Collagenium Research Team is a group of health writers and researchers who synthesize peer-reviewed studies on collagen, skin health, and connective-tissue science into reader-friendly guides.
We are transparent about what we are — and what we are not
Collagenium is an independent editorial publication, not a clinic, dispensary, or medical practice. We are a team of researchers and health writers. We are not licensed medical professionals.
Nothing on this site is medical advice. If you are managing a health condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take prescription medications, consult a registered dietitian, physician, or pharmacist before starting any supplement — including collagen.

How we work
Collagenium is published by an editorial research team rather than a single named author. We are not licensed medical professionals. Our role is to read, synthesize, and accurately summarize the published scientific literature on collagen and related supplements, and to translate that research into guides that consumers can act on.
Every claim on Collagenium is traceable to a primary source: a peer-reviewed study, a regulatory body (FDA, EFSA), a recognized clinical institution (Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, NIH), or a major systematic review. Where evidence is weak, mixed, or absent, we say so plainly. Where a claim is promotional rather than evidence-based, we mark it as such.
Our methodology, sourcing standards, and review process are documented at /methodology/. Where research is unsettled, we recommend consulting a registered dietitian, physician, or other licensed healthcare professional rather than relying on a supplement-review site.
Our editorial standards
- Every health claim is cited to a primary source (peer-reviewed journal, NIH, FDA, or major clinical institution).
- Where evidence is preliminary, mixed, or industry-funded, we say so explicitly in the body of the article.
- Product reviews are based on publicly available ingredient panels, third-party testing where available, and disclosed pricing.
- Affiliate relationships are disclosed on every page that contains an affiliate link; commissions do not influence rankings or ratings.
- Content is reviewed for accuracy at least every 12 months; the "Last reviewed" date is shown on each article.
- We are not licensed medical professionals and Collagenium content is not medical advice. We recommend consulting a registered dietitian or physician before starting any supplement.
For our full sourcing rules, correction policy, and review schedule, see our methodology.
